Steve Madden has released its spring 2025 campaign featuring content creator Tefi Pessoa. The ad is inspired by iconic pop culture moments of the ‘90s and in the accompanying short film, Pessoa can be seen hosting “SMtv’s House of Steve” as she guides viewers through the season’s hottest trends. If you look closely, you’ll see a cameo from Steve Madden himself. The campaign was shot at New York nightclub The Box featuring dancers, showgirls, drag queens, trapeze artists, and more. The film is set to Salt-N-Pepa’s 1993 hit “Shoop” and shot by Steven Brahms. “The ’90s made fashion feel like a cultural event. Everything felt major, from the way trends were introduced to how they became part of our identity. This campaign taps into that same energy by making every moment feel fun, fearless and full of personality,” said Pessoa. Steve Madden’s spring ’25 line includes more nods to the brand’s ’90s roots with standout styles including the gold leather Cary mule, the new Verdict low-top, lace-up sneaker that comes in seven colorways, and the just-under-the-knee Riggs boot in banana leather. “There’s a boldness to Steve Madden that just is the ’90s, no one can deny that. The platforms, the attitude, the feeling that you’re a little rebellious just by putting on a pair of shoes. I love seeing that energy in a new generation in shoes I used to love, too. I think showing them that fashion isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about who you become when you wear it, is a part of us we should fearlessly explore too, is important,” Pessoa added. It was a different time — New York was all about utility shoes, plaid and platforms. We’ve evolved, but those styles still influence us.” The spring 2025 collection is available now to shop both online and in stores.
